“I hate spending more than seven minutes on my hair, which is super straight. I hear that I’m lucky it’s so straight with minimal effort, but I think it’s boring. I’ve been wanting to try something new that requires minimal effort, so I booked a remote beauty advising session for hair and makeup with Heather. She recommended a curling iron to purchase prior and when it arrived, she spent about an hour on Facetime teaching me how to use it, correcting my technique, recommending the right products for my hair type, explaining the science behind them (which was actually pretty awesome, now I know why I should let my hair dry a little before applying certain products to make them more effective) and even recommending makeup. I’m in love with the Maybelline 24 Hour lipstick that I got at CVS for $11 that actually stayed on an entire evening out (love that she recommended some inexpensive options as well!). I have a little way to go with the techniques she taught me, but my first evening out - it only added 5 minutes to my routine and I had body in my hair (that I didn’t pay for) for the first time in decades. If you’re in the Denver area, she’s your girl. And if not, schedule a remote beauty advising for hair and makeup. I’m so happy I did!”
